I’m not a morning person, never have been, probably never will be. So having a small child is like being forced into a recurring nightmare that never stops. (Wait, I don’t have to go to work, but I do have to get up at 6:30… or earlier… EVERY SINGLE DAY of the week?)
I keep telling myself, when he’s a teenager, there will be plenty of time for sleeping in.
But then again, once we’re all up, there’s always the possibility of a trip to Bagel World.
This is the perfect “townie” establishment. The type of place where there’s a line outside at the drive-up window wrapped into the road, and an equally large line on the inside. On weekends, I always see kids in soccer or baseball uniform with their families. If you want to order, you need to do it quick (or step out of line), but with so many options – it’s hard to choose.
This time, I got a garlic bagel, the husband got a veggie, and baby ate pieces of a raisin bagel. Bagel World makesthe best bagels I’ve ever had, and has the best cream cheese options. Now, their coffee and pre-packaged eggs leave something to be desired. But, you can’t have everything.
Even if we have to wake up at a terrible hour on Saturday, it’s still great to have the weekend.
